Nursing Assistant 1 (CNA-1) Program

The NA-1 classes will be held weekdays, roughly once per month, for a total of 105 hours. Of those hours, 65 be in our classroom in Hillsboro, 37 dedicated to lectures and 28 dedicated to lab practice. After completing and passing the classroom portion, students will complete another 40 hours in an approved and designated nursing facility. Times will vary depending on location and class size. 

Students will be actively participating and engaged in a classroom setting with books, handouts, video’s and skills lab time. After classroom material is completed, students will participate in clinical in a nursing facility. Locations of clinical will vary. After successful completion of a class, the student will be issued an “Certificate of Completion”. Upon receipt of the Certificate of Completion, the student will be eligible to test for certification in the State of Oregon for the class they successfully completed. 

A person wanting to take the class should be at least 18 years of age and be able to read, write and communicate in English fluently. If 16 or 17 years of age and wanting to take the class, contact Moore Nurse Consulting for details, we will need a signed agreement from a parent or guardian to complete your enrollment.

• Drug Screening as indicated
• Criminal Background Check

• BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR Certification- $60 if you take it with us, see the CPR tab for scheduled classes.
• TB Screening- Needs to be either a blood test, chest x-ray, or two-step skin test to show negative results for tuberculosis.
• School Supplies- Notebook, pen/pencil, sticky notes, index cards, highlighter. Outlined in the enrollment packet as well.
• Uniform-scrubs; any color or pattern 
• Athletic shoes, fully enclosed Non-skid sole work shoes
• Watch with a second hand

1. To enroll in a program, email robyn@moorenurseconsulting.com or text (503-828-5987) with the date of the class you want to attend, your payment source, email address, and your first/last legal name. Enrollment paperwork is completed at orientation.

2. Pay your program fee of $1500.00. Due in full no later than the Wednesday before your class begins. In order to reserve your seat, we need at least $100 of the tuition (non-refundable) at the time of enrollment. This will be sent via email.

3. Attend an orientation for the program. See Orientation section below.

Please note: You will not be able to start the class until tuition is paid in full or other arrangements have been made.

> Negative Tuberculosis Test
